Dirty Pidgin
The idea that pidgin is second-rate English is more fowl than what this dirty bird just did to this poor kid. Pidgin is a beautiful blend of languages, cultures, and lifestyles that converged upon Hawaii during the Plantation days. Pidgin was the attempt of the Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, and other migrant workers to meld into a cohesive force to RISE UP against the Plantation owners and demand better wages, rights, and working conditions. Pidgin is a language of freedom and liberation, so ENJOY IT!
